The CoVoid era
I Am Happy..
I Still Hold Faith To A Few Essential Items For Happiness:
  • a sense of purpose,
  • something to do,
  • something to look forward to and
  • someone or something to love
This Blog Serves A Few Goals For Me
It keeps a fairly succinct history online for my better recollection many years from now of my thoughts when we talk about the CoVoid years (as I would like to remember it) and reminds me of the importance of living a life without drama
I am not a religious person, however I do believe and like the good deeds and thoughts they offer others (mostly if they are of their same religion)
I like the way belief is organised around an ‘invisible’ deity or force (be it God, The Universe, Gaia, “all there is’ etc) and that it doesnt matter if good or bad happens to you – in some way this was meant to be….

God’s Debris

A lot of this thinking was re-inforced when I read the book by Scott Adams (the originator of Dilbert)
If you have not yet read this book by the creator of Dilbert, I highly suggest getting the book or kindle. Read it and then the follow up with “The religion wars“. Both are short reads – but so powerful in thinking… (more to come on this!!)
So What Has The World-Wide Pandemic Taught Us?
The ‘Not So Good’
For the earth
As is evident through carbon levels – (HISTORICAL NOTE: we are now at 412ppm) and 450 was deemed the point of no return
For the poor
Perhaps some of this is through unsustainable overpopulation and some of this through taking advantage of differences in power
Poor Nutrition
As is evident from the levels of obesity and malnutrition. And the obsession with fast food
Levels of stress
Our levels of pill taking, drama, anxiety, depression and all possible ways we can own and do stress is remarkably high
News and facts
Many differing points are raised, contra raised, debated, conjectured – however mostly with the aim of being sensational, getting a headline, putting out something,
The ‘Better’
  • Technology has helped bridge gaps and keep connection
  • We shared a common purpose (‘flatten the curve’)
  • Some have exercised more and some have eaten better (without the convenience of take-away)
  • Our carbon impact has reduced (less cars, industry and hurting the earth)
  • Relationships and communications have improved and more people are reaching out
  • We found resilience and resolve in the face of stress that we all shared (i.e. not just my problem and they dealing with it)
What will the next phase look like?
I don’t know – I do not follow with precise passion the death rates, recovery rates, transmission curves, lockdown level changes and I don’t because of my adage around unneeded worry and stress. We cause most of it to ourselves with our own thoughts of doom and panic and our sub-concious brain sees our concern and provides us with the self-fulfilling waves of anxiety, depression and confusion
We need to take positive steps to plan and create positive outcomes, and not dwell where doom and gloom thrive.
See if you can reduce stress with these following from Byron Katie (I call it dealing with the WORRY STEPS]
The Four Questions
Q1. Is it true?
Q2. Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
Q3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
Q4. Who would you be without that thought?
If there is one message out of all of this to me it is this
“This Too Shall Pass….”

A final story to help consider what more we can do to help people and countries struggling with levels of debt…
The circle of Debt.
It’s a slow day in some little town……..
The sun is hot….the streets are deserted.
Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.
On this particular day a rich tourist from back west is driving thru town.
He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night.
As soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.
The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt to the pig farmer.
The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the feed store.
The guy at the Farmer’s Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to the local prostitute, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer her services on credit.
She, in a flash rushes to the motel and pays off her room bill with the motel owner.
The motel proprietor now places the $100 back on the counter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything.
At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the $100 bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money & leaves.
NOW,…
no one produced anything…
…and no one earned anything…
...however the whole town is out of debt and is looking to the future with much optimism

We selected best in our opinion blogs and media formats about architecture and urban innovation. An internal blog, generally accessed through the corporation's Intranet, is a weblog that any employee can view.
Many blogs are also communal, allowing anyone to post to them. Internal blogs may be used in lieu of meetings and e-mail discussions, and can be especially useful when the people involved are in different locations, or have conflicting schedules. Blogs may also allow individuals who otherwise would not have been aware of or invited to participate in a discussion to contribute their expertise.

Charity projects, architectural forums, 15 new spaces at the city center. Most charities are concerned with providing basic needs, such as food, water, clothing, health care and shelter.
Pro bono is a Latin phrase meaning "for good", that is used to mean that a legal professional who would otherwise be paid money for his work, works without being paid, for the benefit of society, typically on behalf of a person or organization who cannot pay for some reason, such as poverty. Many blogs are also communal, allowing anyone to post to them. The informal nature of blogs may encourage:

  • employee participation
  • free discussion of issues
  • collective intelligenc
